In Loving Memory of Randy Kaul

Randy Kaul, our beloved and longest serving member of the AYSO Region 208 Board passed away on Saturday, December 9th. Randy began serving as a volunteer when his kids decided they wanted to play soccer. After Randy's two sons Matt and Chris, and his daughter Cassandra "aged" out of the AYSO program he continued to volunteer his time. Randy served the AYSO organization, and specifically Region 208 for over 25 years - primarily and most recognizably as the Regional Referee Administrator.

Randy's extended family without doubt included his fellow referees, the players, coaches, board members and families of AYSO soccer. On game days he was one of the first board members to arrive and always was the last to leave to ensure referee coverage for the final games. Randy loved to be on the field officiating games. However, he willingly sacrificed his time on the field to help mentor and support his follow referees, in particular our youth refs. He truly delighted in teaching the laws of the game to youth referees to help them grow and develop individually. Randy literally touched the lives of hundreds of kids personally through his commitment and service.

Randy Wayne Kaul, 58, retired aerospace engineer, died Saturday, December 9, 2017. Memorial Service, 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 20, Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Florence Kaul. Survived by his sons, Matthew Kaul, Christopher Kaul; daughter, Cassandra (Nick Baumann) Kaul; 4 brother and sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorial established with the American Youth Soccer Organization, P.O. Box 9052, Wichita, Kansas 67277.
